User Guide
If you would like to change the MFA method you are using for your HHUNY Okta account and you are able to log into your HHUNY Okta account with your existing MFA, you may do so using one of the following methods:
- Submitting an MFA reset request for your HHUNY Okta (and if applicable Netsmart Okta) account to the HHUNY Help Desk here: https://hhuny.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/2104/hhuny/Requests/TicketRequests/NewForm?ID=0vGEOm0buXI_&RequestorType=Service
- Accessing your HHUNY Okta accounts' Settings page and changing it manually
The second option may provide a quicker resolution if you need to change your MFA, as it does not depend on the HHUNY Help Desk to complete, but does require the user to be able to log in with the existing MFA method first.
How to navigate to where to change MFA methods
- Please navigate to the HHUNY Okta website (https://hhuny.okta.com). You should be presented with the below screen once you navigate to the website:
- Input your username and password and you will be taken to the HHUNY - Okta homepage - see screenshot below:
- You will need to navigate to the top right corner and click on your name and you will be presented with three options: "Settings", "Preferences" and "Sign out". You will need to click on "Settings":
- After you have clicked settings you will be presented with a new Account page. On the account page in the upper right corner you will see “Edit Profile”. You will need to click on that button in order to change the security question:
- After you have clicked on the Edit Profile button the system will then need to verify it is you that is trying to change your profile settings so you will be presented with a password and an SMS code screen, as seen in the screenshots below:
- Once you have completed this, you should be able to scroll down to the section titled "Extra Verification" where you can add, manage, and remove MFA methods:
Removing MFA Methods
If you have already set up an existing MFA method, you will need to remove it in order to change it.
Once you have navigated to the Extra Verification screen and signed in to edit your settings (described above), you will be able to remove any MFA method by clicking the "Remove" button and confirming that you would like to remove it.
Setting up MFA Methods
To set up a new MFA method, or to reconfigure an old one after removing it (see above), you will need to click the "Set Up" button next to one of the listed methods.
The instructions for setting these methods up are linked below:
