Setting Up Email Authentication

User Guide

This guide will work for the following Okta systems:

  • HHUNY Okta (opt-in only, see below)
  • Netsmart (screenshots are from this instance)

For HHUNY Okta: Please note that this is not available by default; you will need to reach out to us via the HHUNY Help Desk (either at hhuny.okta.com or by calling 855-800-3802) before you have access to it.

For Netsmart: If you would like to reconfigure your MFA to include SMS Authentication or change your existing SMS Authentication method, please follow the following guide first appropriate to your situation first: https://hhuny.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/2104/hhuny/KB/ArticleDet?ID=150764

If you would like to configure Email Authentication initially for either system, you many follow this guide directly.

Setting Up Email Authentication

  1. When prompted to set up MFA, select "Email Authentication":

  1. Click "Send me the code" when prompted:

  1. You should receive an email to your company email address that will provide a 6-digit code. Enter the code in and click "Verify":

Once you have successfully verified the code, you will now have the option to receive your MFA codes via Email Authentication. If you have any issues with this process, you may reach out to us by reaching out to your supervisor to submit a HHUNY Help Desk support ticket on your behalf or calling our support line at 855-800-3802.
