Initial Eligibility Screening Entered in Error- How to Rectify Without Ticket Submission
The HHUNY Help Desk will not delete or void an Initial Eligibility Screening (IES) unless it includes PHI for the wrong member. If an IES was finalized with incorrect information, the best way to rectify this is to enter a new IES with the correct information.
The corrected Initial Eligibility Screening MUST be entered using a different date than the incorrect one to allow the information to be received in MAPP accurately. For example, if the incorrect IES was entered into MAPP on March 5th, wait until March 6th to enter the corrected one.
After completing the corrected IES, an Error Resolution Contact Note must be entered into the chart briefly explaining the error made and the reason for the additional Initial Eligibility Screening. The note must indicate what the correct code should have been and that a new screening was completed with the correct code.
